Software Development Engineer III (Backend)

Fresher/Experienced
1.Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or Engineering or related technical field; or equivalent related professional experience
2. 5+ years of experience in a Software Development Engineer or similar role
3. Full stack engineering with expert level experience in Java, Kotlin or an equivalent language
4. Experience working with front end technologies such as ReactJS, NodeJS, AngularJS or an equivalent language
5. Experience working with GraphQL or an equivalent strongly typed language
6. Experience working on K8s, AWS cloud services
7. Demonstrated understanding of automation frameworks - Python, Ansible, Cypress or an equivalent technology
8. Strong knowledge of Object-Oriented Programming, Dat
a Structures, and Algorithms
9. Strong understanding of memory leaks, cpu utilisation
10. Experience on monitoring tools such as Splunk , Datadog
11. Experience leading cross-functional large-scale projects
12. Mentored and developed other software engineers
1. Work on cutting edge technology for the providing world class developer experience, including exposure to open source tech.
2. Design and implement high performance, scalable, robust and reliable server applications that support key Expedia initiatives.
3. Translate functional specifications into logical, component-based technical designs.
4. Prototype creative solutions quickly by developing minimum viable products and work with others in crafting and implementing the technical vision.
5. Provide code reviews to assess overcall code quality and flexibility, and the application of good object-oriented programming techniques.
6. Write automated unit, system and acceptance tests as appropriate to support our continuous integration pipelines.
