Morningstar’s Quantitative Research Group creates independent investment research and data-driven analytics designed to help investors and Morningstar achieve better outcomes by making better decisions. We utilize statistical rigor and large data sets to inform the methodologies we develop. Our research encompasses hundreds of thousands of securities within a large breadth of asset classes including equities, fixed income, structured credit, and funds. Morningstar is one of the largest independent sources of fund, equity, and credit data and research in the world, and our advocacy for investors’ interests is the foundation of our company.
BS degree in engineering, computer science, statistics, mathematics or equivalent practical experience
Freshers/experienced
1.Strong Understanding of Linux/Unix administration, scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash), AWS cloud services (EC2, S3, ECS, Athena, RDS, Glue, VPC etc.) and DevOps tools (Jenkins, Docker, Terraform, etc.).
2.Knowledge of various stages of software development and deployment, including coding, testing, and release.
3.Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues in a timely and efficient manner.
4.Good communication skills to work effectively within a team and collaborate with other departments.
5.Intellectual curiosity for the world of quantitative research.6.Fluent in both oral and written English.
1.Develop, optimize, and maintain continuous integration and continuous deployment pipelines to automate the software release process.
2.Provision, configure, and maintain cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform, CDK, or CloudFormation to ensure scalability, reliability, and security.
3.Deploy and manage containerized applications using Docker and AWS ECS/EKS, optimizing resource utilization and deployment strategies.
4.Implement security best practices and compliance standards across the development and deployment processes to protect sensitive data and systems.
Work closely with software developers, QA analyst to foster a culture of continuous improvement and ensure seamless product delivery.
5.Write scripts in languages like Bash, Python, or PowerShell to automate routine tasks and deployments.
