Norton, formerly known as Norton by Symantec, is a brand of Gen Digital co-headquartered in Tempe, Arizona and Prague, Czech Republic. Norton originally provided utility software for DOS,[1] and currently offers a variety of products and services related to digital security, identity protection, and online privacy and utilities.[2]Norton was acquired by the Symantec Corporation in 1990, and in 2014, Symantec separated their business into two units. One was focused on security, and the other was focused on information management; Norton was placed in the unit focused on security.[3]As of 2022, Norton is a consumer cybersecurity brand of Gen Digital, the parent company formed following the merger between NortonLifeLock and Avast.
BS/MS in Computer Science or related field
0-3 Years
1. 0-3 years of programming experience building apps and services for mobile or desktop platforms.
2. Experience with one or more programming languages such as Python, C++, JavaScript, Swift or Kotlin or others.
3. Familiarity with modern Web-UI (reactJS etc) frameworks.
4. Familiarity with automation frameworks like selenium etc
1. You will be part of a team that creates popular market-leading privacy products.
2. Participate in Agile development activities including sprint planning, stand-ups, retrospectives, and demos.
Passionate about customer problems and learning new technologies.
3. Deliver incremental working software and test automation with each sprint.
4. Work with senior QA leads to build out test plans strategies for product launches.
5. Build automated manual tests for products components.
Drive Engineering (Unit test, Integration, Automation, Code Coverage, Static Analysis, etc) best practices.
6. Participate in peer code/design/ test reviews and be receptive to fellow experts helping you improve your craft.
7. Participate in team discussions on continous improvement.
