Software engineering is the application of engineering to the design, development, implementation, testing and maintenance of software in a systematic method. The roles in this function will cover all primary development activity across all technology functions that ensure we deliver code with high quality for our applications, products and services and to understand customer needs and to develop product roadmaps.These roles include, but are not limited to analysis, design, coding, engineering, testing, debugging, standards, methods, tools analysis, documentation, research and development, maintenance, new development, operations and delivery. This also includes evaluating new tools, new techniques, strategies; Automation of common tasks; build of common utilities to drive organizational efficiency with a passion around technology and solutions and influence of thought and leadership on future capabilities and opportunities to apply technology in new and innovative ways.Primary Responsibilities:Designing, developing and testing Talend jobs to be used during the ETL process Analyze the issues encountered during day-to-day tasks and work towards resolving them quickly and effectively Working with various customers and stakeholders, to understand business use cases or requirements Developing SQL Server Database code for all new features Work with the technical team in fixing production issues and ready to do the Oncall activities to make sure no impact on production Validate and debug packages to ensure they function properly before they are deployed Work with the team in migration efforts of DB and ETL code from lower version to higher version Automate the generation of reports using Talend Deploy the code to production in a timely manner Owned complete code reviews in a timely manner Comply with the terms and conditions of the employment contract, company policies and procedures, and any and all directives (such as, but not limited to, transfer and/or re-assignment to different work locations, change in teams and/or work shifts, policies in regards to flexibility of work benefits and/or work environment, alternative work arrangements, and other decisions that may arise due to the changing business environment). The Company may adopt, vary or rescind these policies and directives in its absolute discretion and without any limitation (implied or otherwise) on its ability to do so Required Qualifications:Graduate degree or equivalent experience Hands-on development experience with SQL, including stored procedure development Proficient in developing integration jobs utilizing Talend components like tMap, tDbInput, tFilterRow, tAggregateRow, tJava, tSendEmail etc for efficient data processing and automation Proven ability to design and develop SQL Server stored procedures, functions, views and triggers to be used during the ETL process Proven ability to build data transformations with Talend including importing data from files, moving data from one database platform to another Proven ability to debug and tune Talend or other ETL processes to ensure accurate and efficient movement of data Proven ability to design, build, and maintain metadata models and complex ETL packages
